The Blues

     It's important to understand that the "Harley Blues Cruise" is foremost a Blues trip, who has chosen Harleys as means of transportation. Participants who wish to participate "only" because of riding Harleys, might get disappointed. Yes, we'll do a lot of riding, and the rides are great, but we also do a lot of stopping and exploring. So, if you have no interest in the Blues at all, this one's not for you.
     I'd also like to say that the participants, perhaps hailing from Europe in the first place, should rather have an open mind for this trip. Many of the impressions and experiences in the deep South cannot be compared to "how-we-do-things-at-home", and is not appropriate either. A direct comparison between the two cultures does not fly! The differences between, let's say Germany or Switzerland, and Mississippi, are of such magnitude, that an open heart is crucial to enjoy this journey. Try the cow's method; swallow it all up, and then, back home safe and sane, begin digest nice and easy. That's one way of getting the most out of this experience.
     Also, Blues music does not resound from every tree in Mississippi, just like Swiss people do not yodel and eat chocolate all the time. Be assured, we'll hear plenty of great Blues music, but not at every street corner.  next page
