Day 1, Friday

     Arrival at New Orleans airport. Transfer to the Hotel, and dinner. Enjoy some Louisiana specialties like Gumbo, Crawfish, Jambalaya or blackened Catfish "Nawlins style"! Or any other food that New Orleans has to offer. Stroll through the French Quarter after dinner, and if you haven't been to the Crescent City before, you're up for a surprise. That city is a blast!

Day 2, Saturday
New Orleans-Venice-New Orleans 177 miles / 285 km

     Before we hit the road, we take care of all the formalities, and paper work. After the check out of the bikes, we're heading south from New Orleans towards Venice, where the Mississippi River leads into the Gulf of Mexico. We then cross the river and head north around the gigantic Lake Ponchartrain. Once back at our Hotel we'll plan our evening according to who's playing where. We'll visit the House of Blues, Tipitina's or any other of the legendary Blues and Jazz clubs on New Orleans' Bourbon Street.

Day 3, Sunday
New Orleans - Lafayette 176 miles / 283 km

     The first day away from New Orleans will lead us through some amazing swamp lands, and we'll pass Louisiana's immense sugar cane plantations with its majestic Antebellum mansions. Our ride leads us to the center of Cajuns and Creole culture, Lafayette. Just minutes after we arrive at the lovely bed and breakfast, we'll embark on a sensational swamp boat tour. See thousands of nesting birds, a couple of hungry Alligators and the most incredible scenery of flowers, trees, and water. Enjoy a glass of red wine and listen to the Cajun tales from our guide. Dinner is at"Prejeans", Louisiana's premier dining address when it comes to Cajun food. Let the bons temps roulé!
